For a long time, my principal hobbies have been painting and photography.
For various reasons, I have been unable to do much photography recently. One of the issues is that, over the last eight years or so, I have explored our environment so thoroughly that I am finding it difficult to make new pictures. I know very well that they say that a good photographer can find pictures everywhere. Well, I am failing at that because I have little mobility these days due to my chronic fatigue.
So I have started painting again. And, guess what: my paintings have always been based on my photographs. So here is what I finished today - some trees along a nearby watercourse, standing out against afternoon sun. I'll take a proper photograph of it tomorrow, then post it here. The colours are a bit distorted in this pic.
